The INDI-STRUCT furniture range is designed to meet the demands of the most challenging environments. The range is certified to BS4875-7 level5 (severe contract standard).

The tops on all of the units  are 25mm thick melamine faced MDF which have been machine profiled to give smooth rounded corners and polished edges, some companies used 2mm thick PVC impact resistant edging but in some cases this can be picked off and used as a weapon.

The INDI-STRUCT drawer is an extremely strong and robust system, it consists of a drawer box completely made up of 18mm thick melamine faced MDF which is then mounted onto heavy duty steel roller runners rated to 100kg. These drawers are secured so then cannot be easily removed.

The wardrobes do not have hanging rails to reduce possible ligature points; instead they have a fluted shelf that the hanger can sit into. Some manufacturer’s wardrobes have a small upstand for the hangers but this can possibly be broken off and used as a weapon.

Our Anti Ligature robes have sloping doors to further reduce ligature points, the doors are mounted using heavy duty strip/piano hinges with anti tamper screws fitted as standard. All handles are cut outs with scoop detail.
